I always feel like I have to have a picture to go with a post but today I decided I would just do an update, because it's that or nothing. Life has been crazy, at least on of us has been sick since the first week in February. I drove by the park yesterday and saw that the snow had finally melted, when the kids get feeling a little better, we are going to the park. I can't wait.
Spencer had to get a shot in each leg for 3 days in a row. After each visit we took them to get slurpees. On the third day I was getting Spencer ready to take him to the Dr., I hadn't told him that was where we were going. I just asked him if he wanted to go get Daddy from work and go get a Slurpee. He started crying and told me he didn't want to go to the Dr. I felt so bad for the little guy.
Every day of his shots he wanted his Daddy to hold him. On the third day he wanted me. The first two days my eyes got moist being there when he got his shots. The third day when I was holding him I had tears rolling down my cheeks and needed a tissue after. I felt like such a baby, but I felt so bad for my poor little man. He has been so sick and miserable and shots topped it off I guess. I'm just hoping that the shots worked and he'll get better.
Addilyn amazingly has stayed mostly well during the whole thing, actually she's just been kind of sick, not absolutly miserable and lethargic like her brother. She is continuing to grown and learn so fast, and quickly becoming the most sassy little girl I know. She is so sweet and so sassy at the same time, and sometimes just plain sassy, I'm afraid for when she gets older, hopefully the sassy slows A LOT!
Addi loved going to the Dr. with her brother. She would beg to sit up on the table with her daddy. She got the best end of the deal, no shots, but still got a sucker and a slurpee each day. Everytime they would bring Spencer 2 suckers, while he was still crying he would give one to his sister to share with her. They can fight like crazy but they are also so sweet to look out for eachother. I don't know what I would do without my little angels in my life.
We were driving down the road the other day and Spencer annouced to me that Addi had diarrhea. I didn't even know that he knew that word until he annouced that he sister had it and said it perfectly that day. I told him she didn't and she was okay. He then went on to explain that she did have diarrhea and that she had to go to the Dr. to get medicine in her legs for it. They make me laugh and smile each day.
Carl is staying busy working for his dad and doing taxes. We don't get to see him much right now, but thankfully this tax season has not been as bad as the last one. We are still very excited for the day we get to see daddy more. The kids cling to him whenever he is around and cry for him plenty when he is not around. Daddy is quickly becoming Addilyn's favorite lately. Once she got in trouble and daddy put her in her room. Once she came out, she wounldn't talk to or look at her dad for a good 10 mins. Aparently her feelings were very hurt that daddy had actually but her in her room, it's usually mommy that does that one. We had to warm her up to Carl again. First she would only go to mom, then she would sit between mom and dad, and eventually she sat on her daddy's lap again. Life is crazy and busy, but we are loving it, and we'll definitly be going to the park a lot when we all get better.
